SHOOTING STAR CHILDREN'S HOSPICE FUND RAISER

Every parent knows how precious their children are, and the thought of them becoming seriously ill is something most of us can’t bear to contemplate.

Thanks to the fund-raising of many individuals & organisations over the past few years, we now have a specialised children’s hospice locally, that provides palliative, respite & terminal care for children with life-limiting conditions, that makes this very difficult time a little easier for both the children & their families.

The Shooting Star hospice in Hampton has no government funding, & relies totally on voluntary donations & fundraising to provide the £2.5 million it needs each year to maintain it’s vital care service.

This October half term, Climbing Frames UK, a family run company specialising in quality wooden play systems, is turning its Weybridge site in the grounds of Wyevale garden centre, into a spooky Halloween themed scavenger hunt.

From Thursday 25th – Sunday 28th October, children between the ages of zero & 11, are invited to join the festivities around the Climbing Frames UK site. The entrance fee of 50p per child will go directly to Shooting Star, & every child will receive a goody bag, with a prize draw for those who collect all the hidden items. There will also be the opportunity to “dress the witches & vampires”, and enter a pumpkin carving contest.
